Please join us this coming Monday for a great Grimsby Garden Club meeting. It will start with pictures of the Trillium gardens displayed on the big screen from 7:00pm to 7:30pm during our social time. Please consider bringing your own mug to the meeting.
Our speaker is Russell Boles, president of the Niagara Falls Horticultural Society. He will take us on "A Springtime Stroll through the Gardens of Japan" where cherry blossoms, wisteria, and tranquil gardens abound.
Our membership desk with Ginny Thiessen, chair, will welcome you and can start or renew your 2016 membership.
Our mission is the promotion of education to encourage interest and improvement in horticulture, and related environmental issues in the community, along with being dedicated to the beautification of our community. We meet on the last THURSDAY of the month at the Livingston Activity Centre, 18 Livingston Ave at 7:00pm. Membership for $15.00 single, $20.00 family. We are at grimsbygardens@gmail.com, on Facebook and Instagram!

October Garden of the Month - 62 Lake Street
Grimsby
Garden Club
Garden of the
Month for October
Congratulations
to Jo and Ken Agnew
Our fall Garden of the Month is
alive with cheerful yellow marigolds and orange-red geraniums interspersed with
yews, hostas, euonymus and grasses varying in tones from blue-grey to bright
yellow. The repetition of planting
pleases the eye by being offset with a variety of evergreens, cedars, boxwood
and blue spruce. It is a formal yet
causal planting as it winds up the driveway toward the front of the house. Please make sure to drive by this lovely garden at 62 Lake Street near Nelles Park. This is the Grimsby Garden Club’s last garden for the year. We would like to thank everyone for helping to make Grimsby the beautiful town that it is.
The Garden of the Month chosen by members of the Grimsby Garden Club runs from May to October each year. Winning gardens are chosen based on our criteria for curb appeal, colour, design and maintenance.
