MONTHLY MEETING
April 29, 2019 - 7 p.m.

Social Time - 7 p.m. - Pick up a cup of coffee/tea & a treat.  Take this time to meet other members and get to know each other
Don't forget to get your door prize ticket on the way in the door.

Speaker - Paul Bongers.

As a precocious 11-year-old, Country Basket Garden Centre owner Paul Bongers saw an opportunity to make a little extra pocket money when his family's modest vegetable patch yielded an extremely bountiful harvest.

He set up shop on a picnic table on the side of Lundy's Lane, and got to work selling the extra vegetables his family had grown.

Little did he know, as he sold those first zucchinis and peppers, that he'd still be at it today, running the award-winning Country Basket Garden Centre in the heart of Niagara.

Though Paul, along with his wife Pam, has shifted focus from fruits and vegetables to home hobby gardening, the original focus on quality products and great customer service remains.

They run one of Niagara's largest garden centres where they produce many seasonal crops including annuals, perennials, vegetables and herbs, even bee hives and pollinating plants, and so much more.

They're emphasis has been on what's new but more importantly what will be the best for you as a consumer

Educating the public is a passion of Paul's and he will talk to several groups every year including the future of gardening (our children) Enjoy

Topic - Container Gardening.

Board position of Vice President required.
