Monday, March 28th at 7:00pm
Our meeting is Monday, March 28th and starts with social time. Coffee, tea, and treats will be waiting for you.

Speaker: Claudette Sims
Claudette is a retired educator and has been a member of Halton Region Master Gardeners since 2004. After serving as coordinator of her group, she  was proud to continue working as Zone 5 Director and then president for  Master Gardeners of Ontario.  She loves to attract wildlife to her garden and has increasing knowledge and admiration for our beautiful native plants. Other interests include travelling, line dancing, singing and playing ukulele. Claudette recently discovered she had too much time on her hands so started blogging and tweeting.

Topic:  What's in a Name?
Confused about plant names? Ever wondered who "Paul" is in "Paul's Glory"? Learn the intriguing stories behind plant names and discover the sometimes eccentric people behind those names. Which Victorian “lady” booby-trapped her daffodils to deter bulb thieves and carried a revolver in her handbag? Names will definitely be named!

Plant Sale Date Revision - May 7th
With this early start to spring we've revised the Plant Sale date to Saturday May 7th starting at 9:00am until noon or sold out.  We hold it at the Livingston Activity Centre on Main Street.  Set up is on Friday May 6th starting at 4:00pm.  A Potting Up session is scheduled for April 26th 1:00 - 4:00pm (rain or shine) at Marilyn Cornwell's house at 3 Sunnylea Cres.  Bring your plants and we'll pot and label them attractively for the sale.   Extra pots would be appreciated. If you need help digging up, contact Peter Carr-Locke at cookingpetie@yahoo.ca or phone 905-945-2494. He'll arrange a digging up session.

Trillium Hill Hanging Pot Planting March 13th 2016 1:00pm
You can see from our picture above that we had a big turnout with almost 30 people digging in the dirt to pot the town hanging baskets.  With approximately 60 pots, we expect Grimsby's downtown will be exceptional this year.
